Freeman Patterson Workshop

A week with Freeman Patterson and Andre Gallent in St. Jacque, New Brunswick, Canada.  A photographers' dream workshop.  Freeman is a master of photography and a warm and inspiring person and Andre is a wonderful child and family photographer.  Both had much to contibute and they do so with warmth and enthusiasm.

Originally, I had planned to attend a workshop with Freeman in November, 2001.  Then, 9-11 happened and I cancelled my plans with great understanding from Freeman's office.  My life moved on.  Still, it has always been my desire to attend one of the workshops because I so admire Freeman's work.  Simplicity!  Great creative images which so easily send their message to the viewer.  I finnaly got my chance on my trip East this Fall.  All I can say is if you are considering attending one of Freeman's workshops....do it.  They are wonderful.  Well run and tightly organized with accomodations which are first class and food you want to remember for a long time.  But, what is the best part of all is listening to Freeman and to Andre as they explain their work.  I am inspired to break free of all constraints in photography and reach for new creative images.  Will they come my way?  Well, time will tell.

You, my viewers, are my best form of feedback.  So, please leave me comments and let me know what you think of any of my images.  I'm still interested in growing as a photographer and hope that there are no limits in sight.

The trip included a week in New Hamsphire.  We were too early for really good color.  The third week was all "family" as I visited my daughter and my brother and sister-in-law in New Jersey.  All is well and it feels good to be home again.
